Mark T. Vickers

Licensed Psychologist

Mark (he/him) is a Licensed Psychologist in-good standing with the College of Psychologists in New Brunswick. He completed his BACS with Honours in Psychology at Cape Breton University and his MA at Mount Saint Vincent University. Mark is an active member of the New Brunswick Association of School Psychologists. He has been qualified as an expert witness in the area of child psychological assessments by the Court of the Queen’s Bench of New Brunswick.

Mark has experience working in school, community mental health, and private practice settings. He has extensive experience completing comprehensive psychoeducational and psychodiagnostic assessments. He also has experience providing individual and group therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. Mark is especially passionate about providing affirming care for members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. He is a member of WPATH and currently in the process of qualifying for certification with WPATH’s Global Education Institute.

Originally hailing from Cape Breton, Mark is known for his dry sense of humour and empathetic nature. He works primarily from a cognitive-behavioural perspective while also using acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, and exposure and response prevention.

Outside of his clinical practice, Mark volunteers with several non-profit organizations on Saint John. Mark’s self-care routine includes enjoying community events, especially in the arts and theatre sector, reading, writing, watching cringey romantic comedies, experimental cooking, and spending time with family/friends and his cat, Miles.
