Lisa Page-Bouley

LCT-C

Licensed Counselling Therapist

Lisa has been working with children, youth, and parents her whole career. Lisa’s creativity, curiosity, and acceptance create a dynamic space for children and youth to be their authentic selves. She holds a Master of Education in Counselling from Acadia University, in addition to her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Bachelor of Education degree from Nipissing University. Lisa has experienced working with people from a variety of cultures, having taught as a classroom teacher and team leader in England, China, and Tanzania before returning to New Brunswick. For the past two years, she has been working as a School Counsellor with the Child and Youth Addictions and Mental Health Services teams in Saint John, having the privilege to work in collaboration with children, youth, families and various agencies who support them. Lisa’s approach to counselling can be described as using an affirming, trauma-informed, strength-based lens. She draws on elements of ACT, mindfulness practices, solution-focused therapy, expressive arts techniques, CBT, and narrative therapy. Lisa strongly values the role of collaboration and creativity in the therapeutic process to foster advocacy and help people believe in their own worth. Her approach to helping youth understand their mental health challenges allows them to build on their inherent strengths and challenge negative beliefs. Lisa is all about making change possible and practical through personalized resources and collaborative problem solving.

To maintain balance and commitment to her own mental health, Lisa enjoys paddle boarding, hiking with her dog, and cooking new recipes with her family.
