Jillian Train holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She she possesses a strong foundation in the field of Education and a burning desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
She has held a variety of positions in the field of education for 15 years. In addition to her MA in Exceptional Learners, Jillian holds a Bachelor degree in Education. As an adult leader, resource teacher, and classroom teacher, she has had a significant impact on numerous individuals. As an Anglophone South School Counsellor, Jillian is currently responsible for the social and emotional well-being of students. Through these experiences, she has developed a profound comprehension of complex behaviours and needs, as well as strengthened her abilities in the areas of self-regulation instruction and the promotion of positive change. Jillian recognizes that the requirements of each individual are unique and strives to establish a respectful, sensitive, inclusive, understanding, and empathetic environment that will cultivate a trusting relationship with her clients. This supportive approach enables Jillian to work with a variety of modalities, including client-centered, solution-focused, and narrative and behavioural therapies, to accommodate the unique requirements of each client.
Jillian places a high value on maintaining a balanced life beyond her professional responsibilities. When she is not at work or driving her kids to their sporting activities, she can be found savouring the tranquillity of the St. John River and spending time with her family and friends.
