Kate Calabrese

Counselling Intern

Kate has completed all coursework for the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology
program at Yorkville University and is thrilled to be completing her internship at KV
Psychology. Prior to graduate school, Kate attended Saint Francis Xavier University
where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and a minor
in English. Kate’s caring &  empathic nature has drawn her to many roles in both work
and volunteer settings, from supporting children at the YMCA and Kennebecasis Valley
Library, to supporting senior care residents at the Kings Way Care Centre.

Kate’s gentle & supportive nature with clients allows for a warm and engaging
therapeutic experience. To support her clients, she will draw upon a wide range of
evidence-based approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Narrative Therapy,
Humanistic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, all of which can assist clients in
navigating their personal challenges.

Kate is looking forward to welcoming clients, ages 10 and up, who are experiencing
general mental & emotional health concerns.
