Karen comes with a wealth of experience in working with children and youth, as she has been working in this field since graduating from NBCC in 2007. Karen holds a certificate in Early Childhood Education, an Arts degree from UNBSJ with a major in Psychology, and the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Karen has completed her training from Sexual Violence New Brunswick to work with survivors of sexual violence (all ages), has training from the Beck Institute for CBT for anxiety, and, most recently, completed a certificate in addictions and trauma.
Karen has worked with individuals who are dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, separation, sexual abuse, domestic violence, trauma, and more. “My hope is to foster a therapeutic and judgment-free space, while offering understanding, compassion, and empathy.” Karen can work with children ages 5 and up, youth, and adults. She offers in-person or virtual services in both our KV and SJ locations.
