An Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessment is a comprehensive evaluation used to determine whether a person meets the criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder. At KV Psychology & Wellness Clinic, Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment is one of the psychological assessment services we offer for children ages 6 and up and adults.
An ASD assessment considers areas such as social communication, behaviour, interests, sensory experiences and patterns of functioning, along with relevant developmental and background information. The goal is to develop a clearer understanding of an individual’s strengths, needs and areas of support and, when appropriate, provide diagnostic clarification and recommendations for next steps.
This assessment includes one-on-one testing, standardized rating scales, a review of background information, interviews with the adults in the child or youth’s life, and a written report.
During the intake appointment, we’ll determine whether academic or differential diagnostic testing might be recommended. The process takes place over several sessions.
Effective June 1, 2026, the fee for this assessment is $3,400 for ages 6 and up, or $4,800 if academic testing is added.
