Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. People with ASD often experience differences in social communication and may have restricted or repetitive behaviours or interests, along with different ways of learning, moving, or paying attention.
An ASD assessment uses the gold standard in standardized diagnostic testing to determine whether an individual meets the criteria for ASD.
This assessment includes one-on-one testing, standardized rating scales, a review of background information, interviews with the adults in the child or youth’s life, and a written report.
During the intake appointment, we’ll determine whether academic or differential diagnostic testing might be recommended. The process takes place over several sessions.
Effective June 1, 2026, the fee for this assessment is $3,400 for ages 6 and up, or $4,800 if academic testing is added.
